Nathan Wallace is a teacher, child trauma counsellor, and neuroscience trainer with an extensive career applying cutting-edge neuroscientific research to practice both in New Zealand and internationally. 

 

Known for his engaging and informative multimedia presentations, Nathan works to inspire and educate teachers, parents, professionals, and anyone who interacts with children. His focus is on how to effectively apply the latest neuroscience to support positive outcomes for children and families.

 

With over 15 years of experience lecturing at Canterbury University, Nathan has become a trusted expert in the field, providing professional development for both educators and parents. He is also the creator and host of the popular television series Kids Don’t Come with a Manual on Māori TV.

 

Originally from the Deep South of New Zealand, Nathan is a proud descendant of Ngāti Kahu ki Whangaroa. He is deeply connected to his community, with his own children, grandchildren, and foster children providing him with a wealth of personal experience.
